BC Place Stadium roofing
Vancover, Canada

It was nearly four years ago when the decision was made. Something would have to be done about the 25-year old air-supported roof at BC Place, which had come to the end of its life.
Although the roof design was the state-of-the-art in stadium design across North America when BC Place opened in 1983, it was now proving to be a hindrance. Large and profitable outdoor-style event bookings had to be turned away because of the sealed air configuration.

The new roof made of SEFAR® Architecture TENARA® Fabric 4T40HF was designed for a three tensile membrane systems. The fabric allows
40 % light transmission.

Assembly & implementation were made by Hightex GmbH, Rimsting, Germany.
